The Greater White-fronted Goose has one of the largest ranges of any species of goose in the world. They are found in North America, Europe and Asia. They are a winter visitor to the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge, CA. It is quite spectacular to see thousands of them at the Refuge.

Both sexes are similar and they feed on seeds, grain, grasses, sedges and berries.
