The Fulvous Whistling Ducks are reported to be the most widespread species of waterfowl in the world and can be found on most of the continents including southern North America, South America, sub-Saharan Africa, and India. In the U.S., they are mostly found in the south but I have also seen them on Hawaii.

Fulvous Whistling Ducks mostly eat seeds and are fond of rice-growing areas.
