The Black Oystercatcher is found along the western coast of North America from Alaska to northern Mexico. They have a solid blackish-brownish body with an orange bill. They have yellow eyes ringed by orange. They are usually seen in pairs or small groups. Black Oystercatchers mainly eat mussels and limpets.
