In the US, the Tricolored Heron is more of an East Coast and Mid-west bird. It is a small heron. Part of its body is blue-gray like the Little Blue Heron, but it has a white belly and rust highlights. Like the other herons, they like fish, crustaceans, reptiles and insects.
