The Southern Bald Ibis is found in southern Africa. They prefer open grassland or semi-desert. They are large, glossy blue-black with a coppery patch on wings. They have a bald red head with white face, a long, red, decurved bill and red legs and feet.
Diet includes insects and other terrestrial invertebrates.
