The Spectacled Imperial Pigeon is also known as the White-spectacled Imperial-Pigeon and the White-eyed Imperial Pigeon. They are endemic to Indonesia and are found in subtropical and tropic moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.

They feed on large fruits in the forest canopy.
