The Common Myna is a member of the starling family and is native to Asia. It has been introduced to many countries, including Hawaii and Australia. It is considered a serious pest bird because of its population growth and its displacement of native birds.

Common Mynas are omnivorous. They are quite adapted to urban environment and will eat garbage.
