The Ash-throated Flycatcher breeds from the western U.S. to central Mexico and winters in southern Mexico and Central America. You can find the Ash-throated Flycatcher in the warmer and more open areas in the Bay Area. Like other flycatchers they will perch and then fly to catch insects midair.
