The White-throated Swift is found in western U.S. and in Mexico. Sexes are similar and can be identified from other swifts by the whitish throat patch which extends to the belly. The rest of the bird is gray.

They travel in large flocks and will roost in cliff and rock cavities. They eat insects caught on the wing.
