The Pacific Wren is a small dark brown bird with a very short tail. They are found from the Aleutian Islands and Alaska south along the Pacific coast to central California. They are also found in Alberta, Utah, Idaho and Arizona. In 2010, the American Ornithologist's Union split the Winter Wren into three species. The first two new species, the Pacific Wren and the Winter Wren, are found in North America. The third new species, the Eurasian Wren, is found in Europe and Asia.
