I saw some of these Monk Parakeets on Highway 1, Key West. There was maybe a dozen of them landing on some telephone poles and wires. Monk Parakeets are also known as the Quaker Parrot. They are intelligent social birds. The eat seeds, nuts, blossoms, insects and grasses. Captive ones develop large vocabularies.

Monk Parakeets are originally South America (Argentina) and feral populations have been found in North America and Europe.
