The Common Raven is a large, all black bird in the crow family. They are common through most of the Northern Hemisphere. One of the reasons they has been so successful is because it feeds on almost anything. They will eat carrion, insects, food waste, cereal grains, berries, fruit and small animals. Note, the picture below of a raven with a mole or other critter in its bill.
